A Real Small Group, Max 7 people

Season: Winter

The two most popular winter tours in north Iceland combined in one. The majestic waterfall Godafoss and the breathtaking nature surrounding Lake Myvatn has, for decades, been the most popular area to visit in northern Iceland and the Northern Lights are the biggest attraction in Iceland in the winter.

This tour starts with a short drive to Godafoss waterfall where we stop for quite some time enjoying the beautiful views and maybe grab some refreshments at the local coffee house. As we reach Lake Myvatn we have several stops around the lake with short walks in lava fields, the geothermal area and amongst the unique pseudo craters and other wonders in the area. As the daylight diminishes we enjoy a soak in the geothermal water in the Myvatn Nature Baths and have dinner at Kvika restaurants. We might even see the northern lights as we relax in the baths.

A Real Small Group, Max 7 people

Duration: 3 hours
Season: Winter

Price per vehicle: 75.000 ISK

Come and join me on a northern lights hunt in a real small group tour, max 7 people.

Depending on the weather we leave the street lights in Akureyri and find a nice location with a beautiful clear sky and nice foreground to enjoy and take pictures of the northern lights.

If we don’t see any lights you can join a tour for free the next day. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and the weather in Iceland can be unpredictable so we can not guarantee that we see the lights nor that we can run the tour or a retry tour.

We do our best and rely on our experience in the area, contact with locals and access to most updated Icelandic forecasts.
